In order for us to serve you better Mr. Mobility has decided to apply for and receive not one but two nationally recognized accreditations. Being accredited by a recognized accrediting organization is a long, strenuous, and expensive undertaking. Any legitimate accrediting organization will cause the healthcare company to review all of its policies, procedures, and methods of operations with a fine tooth comb. The end result - for those that pass the “test” - is a company that is better suited to meeting the demands of those in need of our products and services. For an Home Medical Equipment to receive one accreditation is rare enough - not many want to subject themselves to the scrutinizing - but to receive two accreditations is unheard of! We have stepped up to the plate and received two nationally recognized healthcare accreditations. They are as follows:
JCAHO
The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) is the most recognized healthcare accrediting organization in the world and certainly the most respected. Their standards of providing healthcare to those in need are high and not an easy task to meet. They scrutinize most aspects of our business and make recommendations for improvement at the end of their survey. The areas they focus on include but are not limited to: Customer Service, Quality Control, Equipment maintenance and repairs, Customer Satisfaction, Human Resources, Business Improvement Plans, and Budgeting. We subjected our company’s performance to their rigid and firm standards and are pleased to announce we have been recommended for accreditation for the second straight time. We must be surveyed for renewal every 3 years. The first time we gained accreditation in 1999 we received a score of 92 out of 100, which was a commendation level scoring. This time (May 23, 2002) we received a score of 96!
We believe that this shows a continued dedication to improving the quality of services to you our valued customers.
Exemplary Provider Award
Begun in 1999 as another accreditation alternative to JCAHO, The Compliance Team began to implement an accreditation program which was more industry specific and would address areas more fully that JCAHO may have overlooked. The Exemplary Provider Award intended to institute standards that better reflected the individual circumstances of different healthcare equipment and service industries. For instance what might constitute exemplary service for an Oxygen provider may differ slightly than that of a Mobility or Rehab provider. The Compliance Team set out to develop these various standards for the individual services and products. This was no small undertaking as you can imagine. We became their first Gold Award Winner and their first Exemplary Provider Award winner!
We feel that having both of these fine and stringent accreditations should be trumpeted at every opportunity and should allay your concerns whether Mr. Mobility is both willing and able to meet your mobility needs.
